Бесплатная программа Drempels создает красочные вращающиеся образы, динамически конструируя их из предложенного юзером набора картинок. В то же время эта программа не является скринсейвером. То есть, конечно, Drempels может работать в качестве хранителя экрана, но ее основная функция - создание на Рабочем столе оригинальных динамических обоев. Несмотря на сложные видео-эффекты, Drempels мало загружает центральный процессор и идет гладко уже на 233MHz системе. А коль скоро юзеру вдруг понадобится вся мощность его ПК, то нажатием на "горячую клавишу" он сможет или на время остановить анимацию, или вообще выгрузить Drempels из памяти машины.

Drempels makes colorful, swirling, hallucinogenic patterns that resemble a hurricane or tornado. It normally runs in your Windows background or "desktop", replacing your old still-image wallpaper with gently-animating visuals... and meanwhile, you can use your computer just like you normally would. It uses very little CPU overhead - so little that it even runs smoothly on a 233 MHz system!

Drempels can also be used as a screensaver; in this mode, it goes fullscreen (like a normal screensaver) instead of rendering to the desktop/background.
