I just applied Windows XP Service Pack #2 and I am now getting the following error message:
HASP Device Driver
Installing the Device drivers failed.
Failed to start the Aladdin Device Driver. Failed to start a service in the Service Control Manager Database
Additionally you may also get the following messages:
'No Appropriate Hardware Lock Was Found' when you start Chief Architect.

How do I resolve this issue?
RESOLUTION
An updated driver is available that will resolve this issue.
You may also use this driver to fix issues that occur when Microsoft downloads a new driver for your HASP lock. This new driver from Microsoft does not work with Chief Architect.
To download the updated driver
Click the link below to download the updated driver:

Next, choose to save the file to your desktop
To install the new driver once you have downloaded it, please follow these steps:
From the Control Panel, access Add or Remove Programs.
Search for the HASP Device Driver. If found; Uninstall HASP Device Driver in the Add or Remove Programs window. If this is not found proceed to step 3.
Browse to the downloaded hasp.zip file.
Right-click on the hasp.zip file, select Extract All, and follow the onscreen prompts.
You should now have a newly created hasp folder. Within this folder you will find three files: drivers.bat, haspdinst.exe and hinstall.exe.
Double-click on the file named drivers.bat or perhaps drivers.
This will launch the command line installer for the two driver install files. Wait until you are prompted TWICE that the operation was "successfully completed." You will need to click OK when this prompt appears.
Once installed the hardware lock should be detected. Attempt to launch the Chief Architect program.
If you continue to receive the "No appropriate hardware lock" message, restart your computer and try again.
