...Самые значительные события в творчестве Николаса случились позже. В 1994 году выходит его альбом "Sacred Fire" ("Священный огонь"), а годом спустя "The Music Of The Grand Canyon" ("Музыка Великого каньона"). Интересно, что оба этих альбома попали в главную десятку хит-парада журнала "Billboard".
Первый из этих дисков, "Sacred Fire", выделялся не только фирменным "ганновским" звучанием, но также и тем, что в его записи участвовало много других разнообразных музыкантов. К примеру, в "Odessa", часто крутившейся в разных танцевальных клубах, звучит вокал Кассандры Шеад (Casandra Sheard). В композиции "From Heaven To Earth" ("С небес на землю") можно услышать известную скрипачку Карен Бриггс (Karen Briggs), принимавшую участие в записи альбомов и концертах Янни (Yanni). Но, наверное, главным украшением "Sacred Fire" стала классическая гитара Завье (Zavier). Его инструмент с мягкими нейлоновыми струнами гармонизирует музыку Николаса, придает ей завершенность...

This is the 'Piano' Disc. The first 'Piano' step is a stunningly beautiful, highly melodic piece mixing wonderfully played piano with some gorgeous strings. Detlef can't half tickle those ivories! 'Step 2' follows a similar formula with the addition of some subtle brass backing then gentle sedate rhythm. The next track has a piano intro but it isn't long before electronics and drums arrive and the pace quickens. It is a piece full of joy and positive energy. 'Step 4' is in complete contrast with some quite heavy electronic stabs and no nonsense drums then moody melodies. It is an excellent track and would have been just as at home on the first disc. Indeed there is no piano in this one at all. The next Step sees a return of the piano- of sorts- the sound being treated and echoing giving it quite an ethereal feel accompanied by some simply gorgeous cello backing which morphs into a more conventional electronic melancholy lead line. <>'Step Six' begins with shimmering crystalline tones, echoing into the distance - all very Vangelis. A mournful lead sets the mood. The next episode follows on in a very similar wistful mood. Again there isn't a piano as such present. The main melody, as with the previous track, has a bright tinkling quality fitting perfectly with the welcome return of the cello and a slow pleasant rhythm. As this disc goes on, more and more the Vangelis comparison made earlier becomes apparent- Vangelis at his most mellow that is. Other comparisons could be some of the works of John Kerr or Jonn Serrie. The sound of a windy moorland at night is the image that came to my mind for 'Step Eight'. Some ticking percussion strikes up, almost like the rays of dawn. These eventually morph into a kind of looped acoustic guitar melodic motif. Other soft 'wispy' lead detail is added. Very peaceful stuff. 'Step Nine' is another highly melodic out and out piano track. All very positive it is too, helped by gossamer soft pads plus the gentlest of rhythms and sequences. The 'Last Step' contains probably the best melody on the entire CD, and that is saying something on such an album. It is all rather reflective and soul searching. As such it is a fitting way to finish an album which would have wide appeal outside the Electronic Music scene as well as inside.

Ovnimoon is the music project of Héctor Stuardo aka Dj Vichop from Chile. His music is very simple, but it goes with positive vibes and a high energy. His music concept try to balance full on sounds, with soft melodies, some kind of musical yin-yang.

The 1st CD features a six-part suite called: 'Electronic Steps' and lasts a shade under seventy-four minutes. Now I THINK he's trying to do something that many others have tried to do - and many others have failed to succeed - and that is to combine "trad" synth with more "contemporary" electronic music, to produce what effectively could be called "ambient trance with melodies". So, how's he done? Well, the answer is "pretty good" really. He's succeeded by slowing down the trance rhythms to a pace that matches the synth/piano melodies, string synth drifts and cosmic synth surrounds, so that it becomes an album that is 75% traditional synth music and 25% trance-ambient, which is about right for the synth market, and way off beam for the trance fans, being far too slow and sweet for the latter to derive any enjoyment out of it. That said, for synth fans who want chunky beats and solid rhythms from electronic drums, sequencers, synths and rattling electro-percussives, it works well, the nearest to dance-floor being the almost 'I Feel Love' style sequencers that appear six or so minutes into: 'Step 4', and even here it sounds so in place. Overall, the musician composes a wealth of tunes, melodies and romantic interludes on top of the almost non-stop rhythmic undercurrents, and the whole thing, for a synth album with more bite and depth than most of its kind, ends up being something both accessible and enjoyable, without going too far off in any one direction and to the detriment of the warm feel and atmosphere that he's trying to provide. The 2nd disc is a 10-part sixty-three minute suite called: 'Piano Steps' and this consists of both piano and synthesizers. In the hands of someone such as Keller who can sure write a good melody, the whole thing is exactly what you'd expect - a semi-classical sounding suite of electronically derived strings and brass, with a piano lead throughout, lots of depth and lashings of tunes. If you're an old romantic - or just simply old in the head - you'll love this. If you want anything that doesn't resemble the entire contents of a Tate & Lyle factory, then you'd best stay away as they don't come much sweeter than this.

Очень красивый альбом от Кристофа (Christophe Goze). Не простой и лаконичный симбиоз дунтемпо, чилл-аута и джаза. Просто здорово получилось!!! Не ожидал. Так как люблю джаз именно в такой интерпретации. И как потом прочитал на официальном сайте: “…альбом для ленивого воскресного утра. Если вы любитель Afterlife, Cantoma, Mandalay, это точно для вас”, т.е. для нас. (Узнать больше о новинке можно на сайте : Как увидеть ссылки? | How to see hidden links?)
Внимание!!! Качать нужно только по одному файлу и в один поток, зато поддерживается докачка. У меня зачастую закачка обрывается на 99% каждого файла, но при этом файл уже закачан до конца и нужно просто вручную поменять расширение файла и все ок.

If you like music that takes you places, you’ll love this CD. Ghosts is music inspired by true ghost stories from the British Isles. You can easily imagine yourself on the moors, the wind in your hair, the presence of “others” around you. Each song has a story that goes with it; in “Borley Rectory” you can actually believe things are disappearing and phantom figures are moving about. “The White Lady” is reminiscent of the style of Loreena McKennitt’s music, slightly haunting yet melodious and flowing, allowing us to tape into the feeling of Marion de la Bruyere as she is betrayed by her lover. “Babes in the Wood” is a striking piece with much emotion about two young children lost and wandering.
Llewellyn uses a variety of instruments to achieve his sounds: piano, cello, pan flutes, harp, recorders, and the vocals of Juliana, among others. He is also inspired by nature, and that comes across in his music most profoundly; not only is it forceful at times, but commanding and intriguing, as nature often is.
This music is about feelings, and Llewellyn is masterful at making us feel it. We can feel the pain of love lost, murders committed, the longing of mothers for their children, the joy before the bitterness. Yet, it is also somehow soothing to my soul.
So, some rainy night, light some candles, snuggle up in your favourite chair, and let yourself go and experience the haunting yet peaceful beauty of this music and the country that inspired it.

"Solas" is a first and rather successful solo project of Irish composer Ronan Hardiman (the author of music to magnificent show "Lord Of The Dance"). Fusing together classical, techno and ethnic styles Ronan Hardiman created a unique sound featuring his virtuoso piano playing as well as the evocative haunting voice of Leslie Dowdall.

Будущий композитор Ронан Хардиман появился на свет в Дублине, в семье генерального директора ирландской телерадиокомпании RTE.
Вместе с братом и тремя сестрами, Ронан участвовал в различных конкурсах исполнителей народных песен и танцев, осваивал фортепиано и барабаны. Но уже в детстве, помимо любви к традиционной культуре Ирландии, мальчик увлекался популярной музыкой, слушал в тайне от отца "Радио Лююксембург" и смотрел телепередачи в стиле "Top of the Pops".
Получив музыкальное образование в Королевской Академии Музыки, Хардиман, тем не менее, профессионально ею заниматься не стал, а устроился клерком в банк Ирландии, где и проработал 12 лет, вплоть до 1990 года. Работа в банке позволила оснастить собственную студию звукозаписи, ведь мечты о музыкальной карьере ни на день не покидали Хардимана.

В 1995 году Хардиман (под псевдонимом "Shanon") выпустил пластинку "Celtic Classics 1", частично состоящую из его оригинальных композиций, частично - из обработок ирландской народной музыки. (В "Celtic Classics 2 " (1997) им написаны лишь три композиции).
В том же году композитор работает над музыкой к ирландско-германской картине "Мой друг Джо", которая годом позже получила награду Берлинского кинофестиваля. В день триумфа Хардиман встретился с человеком, сыгравшим важную роль в его дальнейшей карьере - знаменитым ирландским танцовщиком Майклом Флэтли. Отправив ему свои записи для ознакомления, Хардиман не особенно рассчитывал на успех - среди конкурентов числились Ван Моррисон и Эндрю Ллойд-Уэббер. Тем не менее, выбор Флэтли выпал именно на Хардимана и оба они ни разу об этом не пожалели.
Шоу "Lord of the Dance" ("Властелин танца") увидели 3 миллиона зрителей на пяти континентах, саундтрэк к нему, написанный Хардиманом, занял первое место в чарте World Music журнала "Биллборд" и разошелся тиражом в 2 миллиона экземпляров, став "золотым" в Германии, Ирландии, Канаде и Австралии и "платиновым" в Великобритании.

После такого сумасшедшего успеха у Хардимана отбоя не стало от предложений звукозаписывающих фирм и он остановился на "Universal Records", где в марте 1998 года и вышел альбом "Solas", вокальные партии на котором исполнены Лесли Доудэлл. Она же участвовала и в записи следующего диска "Anthem" (2000), занявшего седьмую строчку в хит-параде "Биллборд" (на этот раз в категории "нью-эйдж"). Для спектаклей Майкла Флэтли Хардиман написал еще "Feet of Flames" - премьера, на которой присутствовало 25 тысяч зрителей, состоялась 25 июля 1998 года в лондонском Гайд-парке.
